Maesilea crenata

 Marsilea crenata is a species of fern found in Southeast Asia. It is an aquatic plant looking like a four leaf clover. Leaves floating in deep water or erect in shallow water or on land. Leaflets glaucous, sporocarp ellipsoid, on stalks attached to base of petioles.

The five kingdom classification

 R.H. Whittaker (1969) proposed a Five Kingdom Classification. The

kingdoms defined by him were named Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae

and Animalia. The main criteria for classification used by him include cell

structure, body organisation, mode of nutrition, reproduction and

phylogenetic relationships.
